Premier Tourism Marketing Partners with Reunions Magazine to Produce 9th Edition of Reunions Workbook

August 22, 2008
Willowbrook, Ill.-based Premier Tourism Marketing, the leading publisher of group travel-oriented publications and websites, has partnered with Milwaukee-based Reunions Magazine to produce the 9th edition of Reunions Workbook. This unique collaboration between two niche market publishers underscores the importance of teamwork and collaboration as the two organizations unite to spread the word about the positive virtues of the reunions marketplace.

Reunions Workbook is the only step-by-step guide to help family, military, class and friends reunions organize the perfect event. It walks planners through all aspects of planning a successful reunion - choosing a date, finding a location, and working with vendors such as hotels & resorts, cruises, ranches and theme parks. Edith Wagner, editor of Reunions Magazine said, "Reunions Workbook is the definitive outline to help plan a reunion. The workbook is popular with organizers of all kinds of reunions from beginners to those who have planned many reunions. It is a giant checklist... the skeleton of a reunion plan."

With an estimated 200,000 family reunions held in the United States alone each year, the reunion market isn't just picnics anymore. Typically they are long weekends with activities, attractions and banquets. 66% of family reunions include from 31 to 100 people with 21% of family reunions having over 100 participants.

Jeff Gayduk, president of Premier Tourism Marketing, said, "As other group markets soften - particularly the meetings & conventions business, the reunion market has shown resiliency, even in a tight economy. We're eager to show destinations, hotels and resorts how an effective reunion marketing strategy can play an important role in helping them meet their 2009 financial goals."

Reunions Workbook will be published in January 2009 with an initial distribution to 20,000 reunion planners in print, along with online sales at both reunionsmag.com and reuniontraveldirectory.com. For more information on Reunions Workbook, contact Premier Tourism Marketing at 630.794.0696, email reunions@ptmgroups.com or visit www.reunionsmag.com.
